CRUCIAL NEURALINK CONCERNS: Social Neuropsychology for Collective Species Enlightenment: Epistemology & Praxis
Dear Mr Musk,
Humankind’s Collective WellBeing Enlightenment is a passionate fascination shared by us both: I believe that my related theoretical and practical work – as therapeutic neuropsychologist and social psychology scientist – could contribute significantly as Directed-Evolutionary Praxis for Homo sapiens in the immediate term, in readiness for Neuralink’s exciting, but most complex arrival!
Your various Species Development Projects resonate profoundly with all my work in human science – as full-time therapeutic educational, clinical, and neuropsychologist, as well as their developmental interfacing with social psychology, as social science researcher and developer. For example, my PhD integrates Social with Clinical Neuropsychology, and is considered revolutionary in its field – both Oxford (England) & Georgetown (USA) Universities’ examination awarded highest possible accolade (2001). I wish to continue the conceptual trajectory of this work with regards to the creation of an ‘Optimal Social Neuropsychology of Self’ pertinent to my discussion in this email – nothing else interests me. I’m 55 years young, at the peak of my personal psychological development as an Embodied Conscious Being (ECB;) on planet Earth 2019, and wish to actualize the full potential of my lifework as therapeutic agent and social scientist. As ECB, I endeavour to realize all my inspirational dreams before I die (though, should Neuralink be successful – who knows…?).
I’d greatly appreciate an opportunity for personal conversation with you in Los Angeles in the first two weeks of August this year, to discuss in detail what I begin to outline here, should this be agreeable to your legendary busy schedule. I’d be most interested in learning your ideas on these matters, and hopefully consider their active development together with a team, and, of course, related practical process and funding – it’s an important, complex, enormous, but fascinating undertaking! You may prefer a stepping-stone communication sequence to arrive at your decision for our meeting in August? I look forward to your return email in this regard.
I begin our envisaged research dialogue now with a useful orientation to Epistemic Co-Creation. It’s very brief, but conceptually salient – to be both explicated and created over time together with our research team and related research participants:
1. ‘The Simulation Principle’ (eg, Neil deGrasse Tyson; Michio Kaku; yourself, Elon Musk; various YouTube videos 2015-18; and many, many more…) here holds as Epistemological Truth: Epistemic Co-Creation as intelligent, Embodied Conscious Species is the essential trajectory of Omniversal (universes/multiverses here subsumed) (Co-)Evolution.
2. Epistemic Co-Creation is defined as the active participation of intelligent species in their own directed-evolution towards, necessarily, Novel Omniversal Well-being (WellBeing), as Active Co-Creators of universes. ‘Co-Creation’ is conceptually isomorphic with ‘Simulation’, though crucial differences in terminology predict radical – and in my opinion, vast improvement/development shifts for social praxis as rhetorical (persuasive) discourse regarding notions typically associated with The Simulation Principle: the underlying astro-physics/physics theoretical superstructure is however identical; Persuasive Discourse shifts Social, and, necessarily, complexly inclusive, Personal Psyche (Self) towards mental health in psychotherapy (basis of my PhD thesis – title: ‘Discursive Psychology: meta-theoretical applications for Clincal Psychology’), for instance, and, similarly, in psycho-sociological health interventions regarding interpersonal conflict (basis of my MEd thesis – title: ‘Ethogenic analysis of pupil-teacher conflict: discovering rule-systems and moral order’, 1994.).
Discursive Psychology (includes ethogenesis/ethology) identifies natural ECB conflict as potent persuasive tool/instrument for novel/useful Social (Discursive) Mind engineering, no matter the neurological substrate – the two (Mind-Brain, or Discourse-Physiology) mutually co-evolving in directed-evolution: semiotic programs (Mind) are the generative mechanisms of (human) Brains, as with computers, cell phones, etc., so too with Neuralink, or the Principles of Physics, conceived here too as ‘brain’ in relation to Omniversal Discursive Mind given their mutually-complex reciprocal co-creative synergy, apropos The Simulation Principle. Epistemology, or Ideology (ecology of ideas), their Conception, is essential for optimally healthy directed-evolution of any embodied intelligent species, ultimately.
3. ‘Epistemic’ here refers to Epistemology as Right (Useful Truth for WellBeing Praxis) Knowledge for deliberate, active, participatory development of Novel WellBeing in an infinite set of ever co-evolving, and, necessarily, novel universes – their respective Co-Creative WellBeing, their Darwinian epicentre: in Epistemic Co-Creation epistemology, Mind precedes (manifest) Physiology, as espoused in Simulation Models: hence Epistemic Co-Creativity is semantically effective (ie, useful semantic re-description for persuasive rhetoric (Discursive Engineering) as Healthful Social & Personal (Well)Being (Self)) – as overarching superordinate discourse, or ideology, as Conception – directing human species as Collective WellBeing Enlightenment Praxis through Persuasive Discourse to Right Knowledge for Co-Creative WellBeing Action as Discursive Engineering for Enlightened Collective Cooperation. ‘Conception’ (pun intended), or conceptualization, precedes composition of the Laws of Physiology (eg, Standard Model of Physics), as with human neuropsychological processing through semiotics, especially semantic grammars, and, at least for now, given the nature of the working operational mechanisms of our contemporary brain, – Words – as necessary neuro-creative, neurocognitive signifiers determining the collapse of the wave function in our immensely complex neurophysiology, function as instrumental or programmatic ‘tools’ in the working contemporary Homo sapiens neurological processing: all Collective WellBeing Enlightenment is therefore Discourse driven: all Discourse is necessarily collective and social in nature, individual humans contributing synergistically, as in your various technological and other projects, deliberately engineered towards Our Species Collective WellBeing Enlightenment.
4. All Co-Creative Evolution – human or otherwise – always moving towards Optimal Novel Wellbeing within, necessarily, given parameters, is also necessarily social and collective in nature: universes can only exist as a subset of a multiverse within the superset of Omniverse, necessarily: optimally useful socio-psychological epistemology should reflect this Omniversal Truth as everyday Optimal WellBeing Praxis for both individuals (all possible ages) and groups (largest to smallest) of people – as Collective WellBeing Enlightenment: IT & AI augmentation (eg, current social media, repertory-grid programs, neural network models, or envisaged Neuralink’s brain-computer amalgamation) of human neuropsychology and related intra- & inter-personal communication wherewithal, necessarily predict The Simulation Principle, here understood as Epistemic Co-Creation: true, effective epistemology (semiotic programmatic construction) is CRUCIAL for both its neuropsychological (intrapsychic/personal) and psycho-sociological (interpersonal/social) workability: the two principal domains interfunctioning across time, in synergy with human neurology and, naturally, the ‘neurology’ of IT & AI.
5. The de facto Truth of Epistemic Co-Creation as first premise of any ECB’s longterm survival, such as Homo sapiens, in any embodied universe, is necessarily Traumatic – subjectively, as Conscious Awareness, experienced both collectively and as individual person. ECBs necessarily erect complex psychological defenses and coping mechanisms for psychosocial-evolutionary survival, such as the Non-Optimal WellBeing discursive creation of anthropomorphic social science, such as religions, communism, democracy, the money-market economy, etc., all unconsciously, unwittingly and dangerously anthropomorphic in formulation, and incongruent with the goals of Epistemic Co-Creation: this Truth requires active psycho-sociological intervention to ensure Epistemic Co-Creative Right Action and the certain transcendence of the Fermi Paradox, and other Omniversal challenges: Right Action is, necessarily, Continuous Collective Action Research, as epistemic parameters necessarily change as with all Conception Process necessarily nested within a dramaturgical grammatical mindset, as Social Psychology – as Co-Creative Collective Dialogue: necessarily, and most essentially, Optimal Social WellBeing Co-Creative Dialogue is operationally directed exclusively, and only through Empirically-based Cooperative Co-Inquiry for Collective WellBeing Enlighten(ing)ment – gathering action research information is its praxis per se: ie, identifying and asking the right questions, co-creates the right answers (refer Philip Ball on Chris Fuchs), through living human participants in individual and collective dynamic discursive interaction with the crucial Third Cortex Affordances of IT & AI – over time: the deliberate, intentional compositional nature of Epistemic Co-Creation as Collective WellBeing Enlightenment Activity – as process eternal – is hereby made Reality.

It’d be most time effective for our possible projects, all considered – ideally, we both need to get going asap as neither of us is getting any younger, and evaluate our face to face experience of one another – there’s no substitute for decisionmaking of this magnitude, though, naturally, I’m happy to provide further information ahead of our meeting re the content and other specifics of my envisaged project together with you – though our mutual conversation (ie, in due course, our Cooperative Co-Inquiry Action Research with a dedicated team & participants) will shift it rapidly to better development: mutual conversation (together with its Third Cortex integrative cognitive processing) is the quintessence of the co-creative generative mechanism of Optimal WellBeing Social Mind Epistemological Formulation for Homo sapiens Collective Enlighten(ing)ment, and related praxis at our current level of evolutionary development as ECBs.
In 2017, I made a brief, premature application at Neuralink given both my keen interest in your project, and its unsettling but invigorating congruence with all my prior personal investigations and independent conclusions, and have since further developed my independent thinking in these regards – hence my request for direct communication with you now. I simply cannot forge ahead meaningfully on my own at this stage – team-based inquiry is obviously an a priori component of the development of collective social mind. I therefore cannot take this crucial Philosophy of Science (and related praxis) inquiry any further than I have already, alone.
I’m not sure what stepping-stone communication process towards our in vivo meeting best suits you, currently – so please let me know, and I’ll follow suit. I’m extremely keen to discuss these complex, most intriguing and crucially relevant ideas soonest, with the clearest intention to some form of ‘make-it-happen’ action: I’ve a very clear formulation of an Action Research Methodology for the co-creation of a directed-evolutionary social mindset for our species that could have crucial implications for Neuralink’s workable actualization, general social uptake and in vivo success. Of course, I leave this for you to decide – naturally, I’m biased 😉
